1. This competition is open to all residents of Namibia except the employees of Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL), their advertising agencies, as well as the immediate family, consultants, directors, associates and trading partners of such organisations and persons.
  2. All participants must be over the age of 18 years old at the date of entry. Winners will be required to exhibit valid identity documents as proof thereof.
  3. The competition is sponsored by Namibia Breweries Limited under the OktoberFest Namibia event.
  4. Event dates will be communicated well in advance on various media platforms (Social Media and Radio). No entries will be accepted after the event.
  5. To enter the competition, participants are required to Shazam the radio advert broadcast on the radio, complete the form prompted by the mobisite, as well as to answer a question asked on the app page. Winners will be identified based on the details input in the form.
  6. Multiple entries per person will be accepted. Consumers are not allowed to enter the competition on someone else’s behalf.
  7. Only one prize is rewarded per successful entry received.
  8. Prizes are not negotiable, exchangeable for cash or transferable.
  9. Prizes include the following NBL branded product i.e. beer glass, tickets and caps.
  10. Winners will be awarded randomly via an automated pre-set percentage. Winners are to collect prizes themselves during the 26th and 27th of October at the venue at a dedicated kiosk for prizes redemption at the venue’s entrance.
  11. By entering this competition, participants will be deemed to have accepted the competition terms & conditions and agree to be bound by the rules which will be interpreted and amended by NBL at their own discretion. All decisions are final, NBL and all media partners will not entertain any correspondence.
  12. NBL reserves the right to substitute the prize for another prize of similar value at any time and for any reason at NBL’s sole discretion.
  13. Any participant entering the Shazam Competition will also stand a chance to win the Grand Prize #BeerForAYear. This entails receiveing one case of beer (only) once a month (12 months = 12 cases). One case is composed by a mix of  brands of 24 units of beer from Namibia Breweries Limited portfolio of beverages. Period: starting from October 2018 and ending in September 2019. Entries for this Prize will close on Tuesday the 23rd of October at 13h00. The lucky draw will take place on the 24th of October. On the afternoon of Saturday the 27th of October between 14h00 and 20h00 hours. The lucky winner will be announced at the festival. In order to redeem the prize, the lucky winner will have to be at the venue at the indicated time. If not, the prize will automatically fall to the next lucky candidate. The Lucky Draw is executed via a digital random generator and operated by O&L Namibia.
  14. NBL reserves the right to terminate this competition at any time if it deems such termination to be necessary and appropriate.
  15. By entering this competition, entrants give Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) permission to contact those regarding future competitions/promotions.
  16. Users of the Shazam Augmented Reality Code must be prepared to be photographed by Shazam for promotional purposes i.e. ‘Selfie’.
  17. Neither NBL, its directors or employees, nor their respective advertising or media agencies, nor their trading partners or any person assigned to perform a function by or on behalf of NBL in relation to this competition, shall be liable in any way whatsoever for any loss, damage or costs, howsoever arising, suffered by an entrant of this competition, whether as a result of any negligent act or omission or any default on the part of NBL or otherwise.
  18. The laws of The Republic of Namibia govern these rules, terms and conditions and by entering this competition participants are deemed to have accepted the competitions terms and conditions and agree to be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Namibian courts.
